Recurring Thrush

Hey, I had my LG in April 2016 and ever since then I have been suffering from vaginal thrush. To begin with it was just now and again but now it’s is constant. I am having to use cream daily and am also on a 6 months course of fluconazole (1 month in and not made a difference). I have tried pessaries as well as a fortnight course of another anti fungal. I am at my wits end! It is having a big impact on mine and my partners life as sex was always a big part of it. I don’t know what else to do. Also, don’t know if it’s related or not but I went for a few swabs to be taken (I think the doc thinks I’m a liar) which came back to be thrush AGAIN! He also took a smear because I was due it and I got a letter the other day saying there had been a change in my cells and that I had to go back in ) months to have it redone. Please someone tell me there is a light at the end of the tunnel?!

Hey. Ive just had thrush for the first time in my life and i wouldnt put it on anyone all i can suggest is you keep on bugging your doctor till you feel like there is a change i mean mine said get washed regulary but i have to have a shower or long soak in the bath without fragrance in it so i used salt tell you what it relaxes you to the point you cant move and as for sex well i said to my partner if you want sex then you can use this cream so we did and it didnt hurt at all hope this helps a little. Partners should definitely also be treated....even if they are not having symptoms. Otherwise you are only passing it back to each other.
