So over the last 3 years I have suffered with constant thrush. Pessaries will clear it up but it soon comes back. After spending a lot of money on prescriptions my doctor prescribed me some strong dose pessaries to try, that I had to insert once a week for 6 months. I do not take hot baths, wear tight clothes, used perfumed lotions/shower gels or have a high sugar diet. Very unsure as to why this happens to me, but the doctor just put it down to me being "sensitive". Does anyone have any tips or has anyone else had to deal with this?

Recurring thrush
I would also for a while try to cut out white flour, yeast and cheese, vinegars, alcohol and refined grains. If you look up auto-immune diets or the paleo diet this might help you. If we see things like this as the body showing us something is not right and instead of just wanting to get rid of it take it as an opportunity for us to take care of ourselves more and listen to our body It then becomes empowering.
Hi,
Have you definitely been tested for thrush each time ? It may not be that , hence the treatment not working?
In addition to the things already mentioned have you considered an allergy? Tampons or condoms?
Has yr partner(if you have one) been treated at the same time? (You may otherwise be passing it backwards and forwards).
I'm very good friends with thrush....😑😕
Ps I nearly always get it if prescribed antibiotics. Ask for treatment at the same time.
Have you been given the tablets as well?
I've also tried natural yoghurt insertion overnight.
And if it's just itchy I find calendula cream a real help
I had recurrent thrush since my early 20's (now 45). As I got in my 30's it became worse where I would get at least 3 episodes of thrush each month, before and after a period and also mid cycle each time becoming more severe. I too was put on a course of treatment for 6 months, I choose the oral tablet as I always started with thrush in my mouth before it traveled south 😐 This worked well obviously while I was taking the tablets but as soon as the 6 months was up l was back to square 1. I never got any answers for the doctor so decided to look on the internet for some answers. After trawling through many sites I found one that mentioned hormone imbalancement could be the cause. To me this seemed the obvious answer due to when I had the thrush. I now take vitamin b complex max strength and after 3 months of taking it I have only had one episode of thrush and this was only mild for me. I don't know if it works for everyone but to me all it all seems to stems from hormones.
Iv suffered like you, iv found though that since iv been on daily antihistamines prescriped by the doctor that its eased the symptoms majorly and although i do still sometimes get it, it doesnt occur as often!
