I'm worried because I have discharge, it's been happening for ages, and is normally like a kind of cottage pie coloured substance. Sometimes it smells but sometimes it doesn't. I'm 16 and I don't want too talk to my parents or a doctor about it because i'm extremely shy, what do I do?

Yeah if your discharge is kind of like cottage cheese in appearance you just have thrush. It is NOT an STI (if you're worried your parents might think it is) and you can simply go to the chemist and by a medicated cream/pill (or combination of both). You can even get it from the supermarket. Thrush is super common and super treatable and you don't need a doctor's appointment for treatment - I've had it four or five times myself and each time I've just gone to the supermarket and bought Canesten, it's expensive but it works - and if you talk to your mum she will DEFINITELY understand because, chances are, she's had it herself in the past on at least one occasion.
You can just pop into a pharmacy and buy a treatment. Nobody will ask you questions - if they ask anything it will literally be things like "are you taking any medications" and they won't ask if it's for you or anyone else, I promise you. Also, doctors can prescribe, and again, doctors won't ask you anything they don't need to know and you don't have to answer. They won't have a look without your consent. They might ask you to do a pee test if they suspect a UTI (which is how they found mine) but that's just peeing in a bottle. Doctors have seen things far more embarrassing than thrush.
Try and pluck up the courage my dear and speak with your mum, she will understand. Your mum could then arrange a visit to your doctor (if your mum can attend with you all the better). You will probably feel more comfortable if you see a female doctor about this. It certainly sounds like thrush but always best to get an expert opinion. Your doctor should prescribe a thrush cream/pessary to help you to resolve this. These creams/pessaries are also available at the chemist. If all else fails you could try proskin candida which is an excellent natural thrush treatment.
