Hi, I am a 14 year old black female. To get straight to the point, my vaginal area is irritating me. I attended a doctor appointment with my mum and the doctor had a quick peep downstairs once and found that the skin around my vagina was dry and cracked. When I pee, it hurts and feels weird and it's always itchy. I take daily showers but

Hi I think u might have thrush which is really easily treated by your gp. But also it would help to moisture ur self down there so that u are not too try with a perfume free cream e.g E45. But also when u get thrush treatment ask your doctor to prescribe you canesten cream which is useful to have in your draw for when your get itching in the virginal area. Also apply the creams last thing at night before you go to sleep as they have longer time to work without being disturbed or taken off when u use the toilet.

It could possibly be thrush. Or your skin has become extra sensitive around your vagina.

You need to go back to the doctor.

Canesten cream may help.

You must try to keep the area moisturised. Whenever I have really sore or cracked skin I use lanolin breastfeeding ointment. The Lansinoh one, it's pure lanolin and help the skin heal and it's very soothing.

When you shower, no soap down there, no scrubbing. Just let the water clean you. Nothing must go inside as our vaginas are self cleaning. Also no deodorant or sprays down there either. I'm not saying you do these things they are just measures I've picked up not to do over the years.

Let us know how you get on 💗

It could be thrush. Your doctor really should be able to diagnose this. Why don't you get an appointment with a different doctor in your surgery to get a second opinion. The prescribed cream and pessary should do the trick. If not then try proskin candida.
