Don't know what this rash is???

This morning I noticed a rash on my thigh, it is like dark purple spots around a pimple like spot and it has extreme itchiness to it, never noticed it before so really freaked me out! I do have eczema but this is not eczema. Not the best image I know but at least you can get a ruff idea

Anyone shed some light on this?

the best thing would be to go to your doctor, get it checked out by a professional, put your mind at rest

I did and its a allergic reaction to a bug bite, unsure what bug would cause this though as my dad got the same bite and rash on his ankle after being bit too.
