Oral sex with men

Last week I typed a post wondering what are the dangers of giving another man oral.

To date nobody have given me any idea

So what are the health dangers to such acts.

Giving oral sex to men can have many dangers as you can contract stis from this.

For example you can get Chlamydia and Gonorrohea in your throat.

More serious consequences would be contracting HIV, syphilis etc. This is through the sperm breaking through a mucus membrane in your throat.

I'd just make sure you and your partner get checked before if you are worried but I'm sure your partner will tell you if there is something wrong and you'd be able to see clearly if there was an sti present on his penis. Apart from Chlamydia maybe.

Must say a lot of people out there don't realise how easy it is to get infected.

To some degree there is hype about STIs. In UK last year there were some 35000 cases of gonorrehea and there are some 130000 people living with HIV. While obviously precautions are sensible it simply is not [in UK] lurking in every encounter.

If you are not in UK - of course - the situation may be more dire but it is usually possible to find out the relative risks.

As the other poster says any STI can be transmitted orally ...
