Chlamydia and oral sex

Hi guys, just looking for some info on the above.

I'm a male, what are the chances of me catching chlamydia by receiving oral sex (if the person has it?)

And what are the chances of me passing on chlamydia to someone through oral sex?

Very unlikely especially with this bacteria. Overall oral sex is a lot safer than vaginal or anal sex since saliva has a lot of anti bacterial and anti viral properties. You should be more worried about HSV2, syphilis and gonorrhoea if it was deep oral sex.

Chlamydia lives in the male urinary tract and vagina so by ejaculating the risk does increase. However chlamydia infections of the throat are still rare so it's not so easy for the bacteria to establish itself there. To put it into context, in a recent survey of London sex workers less than 2% of them had chlamydia in their throats.
