Has anybody bought one of the lay down carry cot/bassinet car seats for their newborn? They're fairly new. Pass all safety regulations. But clearly too new to have any NHS regulations/guidelines and our midwives haven't heard of them, so we're not sure they will let us leave the hospital with our newborn with it as they don't know they product very well.
Has any body else used these or have any experience/thoughts on the lay down car seats vs the upright ones?
Thanks x

No real advice but my 4 year old absolutely refused to go in a bassinet i ended up carrying him in wraps, I didn’t have the energy to fight it (first born and he didn’t like to sleep!) he wasn’t keen on his car seat but I imagine if I’d have brought a lay down I would have kicked myself as I think I’d of had very little chance of going out often with how he would react. I think he would have screamed to the point the neighbours would have worried that he’d have been set on fire. Second baby was fine! You never know how good your babe is going is be so for me, it would have been a no. I also saw the car seat pushchair things, again, great idea, but he only tolerated that once we installed a dvd player and had the Tweenies on replay so that would have been useless for us!
