Intermittent nausea - symptoms come & go suddenly

Hi,

I am new on this community, but a regular on the fertility network. Today I am 9 weeks pregnant - grateful yet anxious all the time!

I just wanted to seek some reassurance from others regarding my sudden changes in nausea symptoms. I seem to be puking once a day but then I’ll wake up next day completely symptom free - no nausea/sore boobs and even have energy. This on/off thing has been happening for the last couple of weeks. It worries me. We were expecting twins, but unfortunately on our 8 week scan found that baby 2 didn’t make it.

I’m just scared that baby 1 is in trouble and the on/off symptom thing doesn’t help. It’s my first pregnancy. I have a four other friends who are also pregnant but they have been puking everyday for a few weeks straight.

Hoping this is normal!

X M

👋🏼 my love , sorry for your loss lovely!

The symptoms thing is completely normal im 11 weeks and some days i feel OK and others it comes over me like a ton of bricks its horrendous, also between 8-12 weeks the placenta starts to fully take over which helps to ease symptoms too. Have you another scan booked to help with reassurance? 😘💗

Hi! Nice to see you on here xx yes I have a reassurance scan booked for this Saturday. Just hope it’s all OK. Thanks for replying, It just baffles me how I can feel so horrendous one day and then completely fine the next 🤷🏻‍♀️.

I know exactly what you mean i find myself grabbing my boobs at times 😂 its so hard. But also you've got to bare in mind that you had double the hormones and the fact that one had sadly passed the symptoms there would have probably got less also. Its really hard not to over analyze but you have to remember we're all different and some are lucky and are completely symptom free some like us it comes in waves and others are constantly feeling rubbish. I really hope Saturday goes well for you. 🤞🏻😘💗

Baby 1 is ok thankfully! My symptoms came back but now they’re gone again since Saturday lol. I am beginning to accept that it is just normal so trying not to freak out when I have no symptoms!!

I’ll be thinking of you tomorrow! Sciatic pain is awful, I hope it settles for you soon! Glad to hear the spotting has subsided too! Is it your 12 weeks tomorrow? X
