Hello,

I have found out I’m going to be a mommy for the first time. Does anyone have any advice for me? What to eat/not eat. A good app to use? A book I should read please

Any advice is really appreciated

Congratulations!! You must be very excited. How far along are you?

I was lucky enough to have a very nice pregnancy and I really enjoyed it. I hope yours is going smoothly. In my experience, eating well during pregnancy really helped (avoiding processed food, lots of good fats and wholegrain, not too much sugar or simple carbs). On the other hand, don't beat yourself up if you have nausea or food aversions that make it difficult to stomach certain foods. Eat what you can manage.

Hoping for a happy, healthy pregnancy for you to enjoy. It's a state of grace, you feel special every day - I miss my bump!! Good luck xxx

Thank you, I’m so incredibly nervous and I have endo so can’t believe it’s actually happened. Only 2-3 weeks so fingers crossed. I told the dad and he is pleased and saying how I need to eat healthy now and get cream for stretch marks on stomach , did you use that? thanks again, I feel lucky x

Aw, I'm so pleased for you. Most of us on here struggled with fertility - my baby was through IVF - so we know that feeling of happiness/disbelief.

I used bio oil from about 12 weeks and I only got a few very faint marks around the bottom of my bump and they've faded now. I don't know if it's really possible to prevent them but it's good to keep your skin well hydrated anyway - it can feel itchy as it stretches!!

Thank you, I thought about bio oil but until I heart someone else had used it I wanted to make sure it’s safe to use :-). I will get some of that straight away.

I’m under a consultant surgeon as I have endo and Iv had fertility tests and my tubes checked and the next step was IVF so I’m surprised it’s happened, just keeping my fingers crossed now x
