Is it normal having diarrhea for 3 days while 35 weeks pregnant

I am 35 weeks pregnant and I keep having diarrhea. I have been having it for 3 days now. Is this normal ?

Hi Gabby1480. I totally get being concerned when you're pregnant and all of the sudden your body does something different. I can tell you that while I was pregnant, the consistency of my stool changed a lot. And, it did get softer as I got closer to my due date. If you're looking for support in helping you determine if this is something that could indicate a health issue or to get treatment options, you'll want to consult your doctor.

I’d also add to make sure you stay hydrated; drink plenty of water and/or an isotonic drink to replace your electrolytes xx

I had the same issue around 35/36 weeks! I think it was just my body clearing out a bit in preparation for labour. Could be a sign that things are starting to happen x
