if i take a pregnancy test and the negative line is kinda faint and there is no control line , should i take another one

Can you share the picture? It's hard to say if it's a faulty HPT or something unless I get to see it. It also happens that when the HCG is too high it steals dye from the control line. As a result, the control line gets faint or may even disappear and only the test line is visible. Among the many reasons for high HCG, one of the most common ones is twins. Wait till you miss your periods and check again. If it still appears the same get a beta done to be sure of the HCG level to the exact mIU/L. Do update me for sure.
