What are the things that captivate you? It can be things that you seek out, or something that you simply can't help no matter how hard you try. Also, have any of your interests become hobbies or even careers?

Hi Tronsformer,

I like films, particularly how they are made. What about you?

I loooove film, especially filmmaking. Listening to the teamdeakins podcast whilst I type! Have you checked that out?

I haven't heard of that one no, but it sounds worth checking out, thank you!

it’s more about cinematography and how film are shot and lit etc but from the perspective of people at a very high level. Roger Deakins (whose podcast it is) is considered one of the best of the best, works with Coen Brothers, and did Blade Runner 2049 to name a few.

Another one I’d like to recommend is Blockbuster. It details how George Lucas, Steven Spielberg and Hames Cameron started out. Its more theatrical and corny but its a great look at how these icons who are considered the greats, have massively influenced their industry and modern pop culture and seeing them at the beginning, in their most vulnerable state and failing.

Come to think of it has a benefit for us in that sense and most of us are here because of our difficulties.

And finally one more recommendation, the Lord Of the Rings appendices. Just the best

Wow! genetics sounds fascinating an super nerdy in the best possible way. Totally with you on having google open at all times!

I enjoy collecting books around facts/ encylodpedias, or just anything that is pure info so can relate to the thirst for knowledge.

And on genetics I’ve always been mesmerised how busy and complex the microscopic world is. Its like a different universe haha.
