low functioning autistic non verbal son has nothing he can do after college. There is nothing for severe autism or nonverbal. What do I do?

When you say ‘after college’, do you mean he’s soon to be or already is 18+ and finishing full time education? Generally speaking, individuals over 18 that require lots of support with their day to day care either go into a residential placement - and, correct me if I’m wrong, but I think you’ve mentioned before that your son is already in one? - or remain at home with their families and utilise services provided by local social care. If your son does already have a residential placement and that’s continuing after college, then it’s up to his placement in conjunction with the local social services teams to make sure he has appropriate activities in place once college finishes. If his placement is a result of his education, for example, he’s boarding and being cared for at a college, then there should be conversations happening with you quite urgently about where your son is going next, be that a residential setting, like a group home for adults with learning disabilities, or in some cases it might be returning to the family home with appropriate support in place. Again, though, activities put in place for him during the day after he’s finished college will be the responsibility of wherever he’s living with oversight from social services. As the parent of someone without capacity, you can also advocate for his best interests and express your views on what you feel is important for and to his best interests.

thank you for your response. The Care home can’t find anything either. They were thinking of him volunteering at Garden Centre but that did not work out. He needs two carers with him. But I will see if Care Home can suggest anything or will seek another Care Home

It’s likely to be well worth getting an independent social worker assessment.
