Further to my earlier replies. Have you thought of having a private assessment if money allows ( they are expensive) then if that assessment agrees with your own views you could then ask for another formal NHS assessment based on these results as one would be required if your son needed to apply for benefits due to his difficulties ( they will not rely on a private diagnosis). I know it’s a costly way of doing things, but it might be the only option left. It might be your son is only very mildly affected with ASD and the problems are mental health issues. At least you would know and that Is clearly causing you much concern at present. I would think it would be difficult to challenge the diagnosis head on, but could be worth a try if you were to thoroughly explain everything in writing to those who did the assessment.
Thank you once again for getting back to me. There is no way I can afford a private one. Yes he is suffering from depression and anxiety on top. The women who did the test emailed me. And the way she comes across is nasty even down to she doesn't say his name putting kr as she explains the appointment. She has a attitude talking down on it. I am taking it further as these people think they are above us not in my eyes there not. Half of them just don't care in the meantime it is the parent and child that pick up the pieces it's all wrong x
