Does anyone out there have diagnosis of s.c.a 17?
Hello "Dustycat14",
I´m not sure which SCA I´m suffering from.
Actually, I don´t care much - since there is no remedy
anyway.
In hospital they diagnosed ".Autosomal Dominant Cerebellar Atrophy "
and strongly advised me to use a rollator.ö
Maybe it´s SCA 17 as I also have to clear my throat quite a lot.
Thank you for tagging your question.

Hi Jurgen, my hubby uses rollator too, really helps, tried crutches,no enough support then I fall over them too!
Hi Dustycart
I don't think the difficulties you're husband is experiencing with having to clear his throat all the time are specific to SCA 17-I think it is problem for other people who have a spinocerebellar ataxia (SCA), whatever the number. Has your husband mentioned this to his GP or neurologist and does he see a Speech and Language therapist?
Harriet
Hi Harriet,Thanks for yr reply we've just been to the gp who thinks its acid reflux+changed meds amounts+awaiting a review with speech+language, think more related2that than acid reflux.
