Hello

I used to be a decision maker at the DWP so know the procedure. It's not what you say to the HP it's the way you say it If I can help I will.

Take care

Does it affect you if you get it indefinate, my OT assesment officer helped me fill my form in and when I was accepted she said they could put me to a higher rate but not take it back off me. How will these changes affect that ?

razzy it all depends if ur ataxia is progressive and what rate your currently claiming for both elements also money coming in/out of your household will to also if you are on higher rate for both elements you may have to pay towards your local autherouty care package

i always tell service users to go by ur worst days and ur right fifa if use their terms such as quality of life and if u can get any supportive evidence from a health proffessional that knows UR personal circumstances thx jay and lynny bear

Can't see them doing away with the appeals criteria. Surely this would be a breach of human rights?

It might be helpful to have a look at the information provided by the government - it's actually rather good.

See here: dwp.gov.uk/pip - the 'home page'

dwp.gov.uk/policy/disabilit... - the page with the FAQs and a 'myth buster' document

and direct.gov.uk/en/MoneyTaxAn...

Hope these are helpful.
