Which mobile 'phone?

I've had an 'ordinary' mobile for a couple of years now. Unfortunately my dexterity has deteriorated and the buttons are too small. Can anyone suggest a decent 'phone with bigger buttons please.

Many thanks.

I am hopeless with phones and regularly wash or drop them. Neither to be recommended. Everybody who has one, raves about iPhones and touch pads but I have a very basic Nokia that I can replace cheaply.

I did get this phone for my father-in-law when he was in hospital. He found it easy to use, but it does not do predictive text and I like it. If you are not bothered by this it might be good?

Oh just seen someone has posted a good one! Too late, ah well, I have written it now so will send it.

Hi I don't know if it is of any use ti anyone the lloyds pharmacy one looks good but my kids bought me a dorio [341 I think] off amazon I think it was a lot more expensive but it seems ok and has a panic/alarm button on the back . And it seems tough and survives the many drops it gets

Hello

I have a Doro, it's very good with big buttons it is also loud. I wouldn't be without it. Check the range.

Take care

Tip: If you get your mobile phone wet, just pop it into a bag of (dry) rice. It does wonders... :)

Most of the new smartphones have large keys so that would be my recommendation. Not all of them are as expensive as the iPhone.

You are all very kind and many thanks for the replies. The robust comment is very apt 'johnpa' because like most Ataxians I spend a lot of time dropping things. lol I'm doing my research based on your recommendations and althought more expensive, the Doro seems to be coming out on top at the moment both in terms of size (slightly larger for ease of manual handling) and useability (keypad size). Amazon prices look competitive too.

Thanks again all.

I have a Dora mobile, its very good with nice large numbers, very robust. Got mine from Amazon, bit more pricey but worth every penny!!

Another Doro supporter here. However, the alarm [must be me!] is very LOUD and appears a bit sensitive.

Hi Red-Bertie, i have never used the alarm on my phone so cant really comment on it,its useful though to have it. Think that the Dora is a good one, mine is a Dora 410gsm(i think!) , Like the size and the casing to it because its a sort of "rubber" and easier to handle.(not as easy to drop for me!!) Hope this can help someone, know everyone is different though, just my opinion and experience.

one point I think I should make clear is that the alarm button on the back of the 341gsm sends a text message to 3 numbers you put in it does not make a sound but beware of leaning on it and accidentally triggering it I did it once said f*** it and switched the function off and the sms defaults to uppercase so you have to switch it to lowercase each time easy to do just press hash but easy to forget dorio say there is no way of changing the default setting
