When first diagnosed in 2004/5 I knew is was incurable but wanted to know more. I never heard about this site, maybe it did not exist yet, and was directed to an international site, INTERNAF, to learn more. Later I became a member of this forum and sometimes found the advice here invaluable

Me too .. I had foot straightening surgery 2002 which led to diagnosis 2004 I'm 81 now. Still idiopathic cerebellar ataxia and grateful for this site. Although Ataxia UK was my salvation from 2004.
