Hello all.Thanks yo all who have taken the time to answer my quarry's.

This maybe a silly question ' but I would like to know if ATAXIA condition comes under disability?

Dear slipsandtrips

Ataxia is a disability and is covered by the Equality Act 2010. There is no right and wrong as to if and when is the best time to stop work, indeed if you are struggling work there might be things that your employer could put in place to make things easier for you. These are called 'reasonable adjustments'. I would advise contacting the Helpline at Ataxia UK who are able to give advice around employment and also benefits that you may be able to access. Yes it most definitely does, as well as the benefits I mentioned previously I also have a blue badge for the car which is Very useful.
