Best mobile phone for Ataxia?

hi all,

my brother suffers badly with his eyes, the blurry vision has gone worse and he’s struggling to read books or watch telly. He uses an “old school” mobile phone since he cannot stand the glare from smartphone screens. What mobile phones do you recommend? I’d like to get him a new one as this one isn’t working well anymore. Thanks!

The institute for the blind offers a simple mobile phone with big buttons. I am not using any phone since my speech is too incomprehensible and use an E-book and newspaper online were the fonts can be enlarged.

🙂 I suffer from glare..and I use an iPhone 12

I go into ‘settings’ and adjust the level of brightness on the screen. It’s possible to lower it right down..but then it’s too dark for me to read.

I would get in contact with the institute for the blind and ask if they can suggest anything or ask his Occupational Therapist.

If you find anything please let us know.
