Has anybody used Virtually Reality to help with Ataxia? There is some evidence that training with immersive virtual reality and physiotherapy is a promising approach for ataxic gait and balance etc.
Just to let you all know that because i m as thick as a brick and have the same IQ as a dead fish I’ve made some changes to my life.
VR is a very powerful tool that is used for many different things including the NHS for different Neurology problems. There is a lot of information on Google of how effective it could be for some people with Ataxia.
Like all technology its gets better and more powerful, when you first use it it’s a bit scary, it can take you on a guided tour of anywhere in the world, climb mountains, go deep sea diving anything you want.
I have an Oculus Quest but i am just starting to look at how to use it for my Ataxia.
Like you said you need to do your own homework to make sure it’s suited to your particular needs as it’s not the cheapest thing you will buy.
