Hello all

Hope you are all healthy, wealthy and happy

If you are happy you have everything.

Has anybody used Virtually Reality to help with Ataxia? There is some evidence that training with immersive virtual reality and physiotherapy is a promising approach for ataxic gait and balance etc.

Just to let you all know that because i m as thick as a brick and have the same IQ as a dead fish I’ve made some changes to my life.

I’ve sold my car so I can buy a touring caravan.

I spent all my money to buy a wallet.

I sold my telly so I could afford sky TV.

All seemed ok to me, impressive eh.

Be happy all.

Hi Benning

VR is a very powerful tool that is used for many different things including the NHS for different Neurology problems. There is a lot of information on Google of how effective it could be for some people with Ataxia.

Like all technology its gets better and more powerful, when you first use it it’s a bit scary, it can take you on a guided tour of anywhere in the world, climb mountains, go deep sea diving anything you want.

I have an Oculus Quest but i am just starting to look at how to use it for my Ataxia.

Like you said you need to do your own homework to make sure it’s suited to your particular needs as it’s not the cheapest thing you will buy.

Good Luck my friend and stay safe.

Hi eemove

I’m really glad it’s helping you with balance, It takes your mind to another place so you do things you didn’t know you were capable of doing.

Be careful thought and don’t overdo it.

Stay safe my friend.
