Thx . I have CA too . But in my country only MS is “claimable “ After much research .. I also believe they r both very closely related , but still trying to find more concrete evidence .

Scientifically, they are very different.

Symptomatically, they display similarities

Symptomatically, CA is similar to PD MS and CP

Multiple Sclerosis is caused by demyelination-patches of white material that acts like an insulator of nerve fibers, so to speak. Cerebellar Ataxia can be caused by different etiologies within the cerebellum. In my case, it is a problem with an enlarged blood vessel, that causes my Cerebellar Ataxia. Sometimes, tumors can cause Cerebellar Ataxias. There are also, some inherited Cerebellar Ataxias, where there is dysfunction of neural pathways in the Cerebellum, causing Ataxia. Degeneration of neurons, within the Cerebellum, can also cause Ataxias. So, perhaps, some Cerebellar Ataxia can result, when one has Multiple Sclerosis; however, not all Cerebellar Ataxias are caused by Multiple Sclerosis.
