Yes, I’ve gone and booked myself on one. Think of me at 3.00pm on Saturday 15 September at Wickenby Aerodrome. I thought I ought to do it whilst I can! Its really frustrating when doing something now which takes ages, even putting on shoes. You realise you took it for granted that you could accomplish anything quickly and easily. Booking this challenge is me putting two fingers up to Ataxia and putting my body through a hard task (do I make sense?) I told the pilot to wear ear plugs to block out my screaming! My South African friend said I should wear a bikini 😂 as the watchers’ blood pressure will be the same as mine - but I think if I did that their blood pressure would be up for another reason 😱😬🤪

Wing walk
😯 👍 You’re much braver than me 😉 Consider thermals under the bikini, September in the U.K. can be ‘brisk’ 😉 xB
I think it'll be jogging bottoms, silly boy, and a bottle of Prosecco to calm me afterwards. I'll need a carrot! Won't have to worry about weight, walking and talking once I've done it 😘😘
Sounds v brave. But also a bit insane. Stay safe and enjoy
I could not do that!! Photo please
Good luck xx
That's my girl, Yay!! Got my t-shirt today. I will wear it with pride on the day 😘
Its been awhile since we chatted my lovely, I didnt know about your wing walk👏👏👏👏 was it for fun, or just a lifetime ambition? 😀🌹😘
It was blooming cancelled and it will now take place next year. I had decided to it and pay for it any myself anyway but I did a JustGiving page too and raised £1300 for Ataxia. One of my girl friends said does having Ataxia make me ‘mad’! I guess it helps 😂😘
OMG! Just had to check exactly what a wing walk is! Is this esp for disabled people? Do you pull yourself up out of the cockpit?
If it's something you've always wanted to do then go for it.
I did a skydive 2 years ago. It was fantastic. I felt like I was flying! I did the same as you and raised money for the dive using just giving. It paid for the dive and I raised 840€ for ataxia UK. The dive i did was equipped for disabled people. Even if you can't walk at all it was still possible.
Enjoy every moment of your wing walk. You have to seize the day, as who knows what tomorrow brings.
Love

Hi Alison 😃 It is something I’ve wanted to do since I did a skydive 2 years ago and it didn’t give me much of a buzz 🤔 so I though this would do the job ... however it was cancelled twice because of the weather and now it won’t happen until next year ☹️. I hope I’ll be able to climb up to the seat on the wing next year, however one of my girl friends said she would make sure I’d get hoisted up to the seat 😂. I’ve managed to raise over £1300 which I hope we’ll be able to benefit from 🤞🏽. I’ll send you some pictures of me screaming my head off and post something on our site. 😘😘😘
