I had a restless night so..............

This is the result of a restless night, something to take my mind off the demons and thoughts of something drastic to stop it all. I eventually fell sleep about 7.am I think...............................

Some days/nights I feel on top of the world and then it all falls in and the demons return....

Hop you like it.................... :-)

After all that hard work John, you must be ready for a good sleep :-) xB

Thankuou wobblybee, would be nice to get some sleep. Catch a few hours on the sofa when I can before the demons come again...............

See the nuerologist on the 20th (this month). hopefully get results of MRI tests and talk about this latest episode that`s been happening, still waiting to see other doc, or whatever his/her title is, about my anxiety swings.

Not a very good strt to the year so far, but it`s got to get better I hope.

John, I've got out of sync with my sleep pattern recently.

I wake up several times a night, can't get back to sleep and

then start 'overthinking'. It makes me anxious because I

find it difficult to break the pattern.

I've experienced this sort of thing many times, during the

winter it always seems worse with days being so short.

This may not be exactly how you feel, but I also hope it's got

to get better :-) xB

I also experience debilitating loss of sleep. Its not so critical for me as I'm 71 years old and have long since ceased to work. I can find no way to ensure a good night's sleep. I drop off quite easily but wake with a high degree of consciousness after perhaps three hours or so. Even when I go to bed exhausted, I still wake at around 3.00 to 3.30 am. Well, I suppose I'm fortunate in that I can catch up on all the reading I missed but loss of sleep worsens the ataxia problems during the day, particularly so during the afternoons. Any suggestions for improving this situation will be received with much gratitude.

Hi, John

Sorry to hear about your anxiety. Like you, I have times when I feel more positive, then others when I feel anxious and depressed, and dread what the future might hold. I know counsellors advise 'living in the present moment', but that's not that easy when not knowing when symptoms of ataxia may 'kick in'. Most of my life I've been prone to anxiety, and my diagnosis with ataxia last April has really intensified it. Oh, the complexities of the mind!

Hope your discussion with your neurologist later this month is helpful.
