Although I enjoyed meeting other people with Ataxia which I have never previously done, I didn't really get much from the conference as my expectations were probably too high and I came away feeling rather deflated. Being my first conference, I hoped for more information on treatment and possible cures etc regarding stem cell therapies as I had done a lot of research only to learn that this was something of a pipe dream. One can hope. I truly hope that everyone attending has a great time.

My Ataxia was diagnosed as resulting from my early alcohol abuse. Is this fairly rare?
