Just wondering if any of the NIH or other studies produced any results whatsoever?

Thanks and ask if all the so-called inventions, annouced in the media, are just hogwash. And f yes, whyo why waste taxpayers money on pie in the sky stuff? N

oh one more thing: I very often see the words, "study resuts not published" when Igo on the clinical trials page. What does this mean. Hey doesn't anyone want to get the Nobel Prize?

Hi Neta!

The basic Neurologist I saw just said I had a progressive degenerative disease, I don't

expect to see him again unless I seriously degenerate, and become of interest.

Everything I know about this condition has been through my own research. So when I

was seen by an expert in ataxia, my expectations were high. Unfortunately I was

having a 'good' day, and he wasn't particularly interested beyond asking me to perform

the usual movements.

Sorry, I know this has nothing to do with your question, I got carried away!

When I read about these clinical trials, I grasp it but most is too technical and goes

way over my head. Personally I'm more concerned in managing day to day, and let

someone else worry about clinical trials.

Anyway, thank you for your informative posts!

Hi B,

I am interested in the clinical trials and in the day to day. I see my neurologist-doctor (I have 2).about every 2-3 months. I try to be crafty, seeing one in one city and the other in another. Re health matters thereare more liberal laws here than in Britain but my HMO has had it with me!

I think the grantors should at the very least produce the results to the trials. I am going to the sea for the weekend. Last year, I found walking on the sand very challenging ditto in the pool.. This year I will try again and see what .happens. (Will probably fall and get washed away in the sea !) N

The last time I walked along a beach it sloped down to the sea, what a

challenge that was! I can imagine the sand beneath my toes, have a

lovely time! xB

Hi N!

I know you had some concerns re the airport on arrival in Italy. You

managed the US trip and you were fine, most airports offer help if you

feel able to ask for it, difficult I know with your travelling companion.

Take it easy, think calm serene thoughts, have a great time!xB

p.s Watch out for spills of hot liquids on the plane. My daughter

spilt scalding tea, ended up with 1st degree burns, was unable to

go into the water for much of her honeymoon!

Not what you're looking for?
