Hi had my daughter at doctor today she is 8 on terbutaline and budesonide inhalers 1puff twice daily and monkelust tablet at night today she was given salmeterol inhaler and im wondering im i to give her all three inhalers or stop one any advise appreciated

Hi

I’d ring the surgery tomorrow and ask for a phone consultation with the doc just to double check - you don’t want to over or under medicate long term!

For tonight you have the option of sticking to the normal routine, or adding the extra salmeterol per the instructions - it’s up to you, but I’d assume if you weren’t told it was a replacement for the terbutaline then it’s an addition (especially if she’s been symptomatic recently)

Thanks for ur reply. I added in with the normal routine this eve as she has being coughing as 3weeks. Told today she has a wheeze but gps arent wanting give steriods. I will see how wee go i dont want the doctors thinking im annoyin them none stop like i have done every week.
