Hi, sorry to here you’ve been ill
It could be that you just don’t ‘suit’ these inhalers, although it could also be that you would have triggered anyway due to the weather - it’s such a bad time for breathing atm 😅! I’d advise going back to the docs and asking for a new type, if you really do think it’s the inhalers, if you’re unsure try for another week and see if things calm as the weather does. It usually takes a few days for your body to assimilate to a new inhaler, though I repeat if you really do think it’s the meds that’s the cause, go back and tell them (most drugs have a potential side effect of making you worse, so the sooner you swap the better!)
In the past I’ve had an inhaler that completely dried out my nasal passages, despite nasal spray, and have had inhalers that seemed to do nothing! Now I’m on a set (nasal spray and inhaler) that I feel is actually doing their job!
Hope this helps and that things start to calm down for you soon
Emma x
Have you been checked by ENT at your local hospital for presence of Nasal Polyps and Sinus Infection (which often effect Asthmatics with Rhinitis)? If not, it’s probably worth running that possibility past your GP when next visiting.
