Brittle Asthma.

Morning all. I would like to thank all those lovely people for reading my post, and offering me help advice and explanation of this new name to me. Brittle asthma.

Well I am lots better and I am been looked after by a wonderful clinical Nurse Specialist

And her team. Who diagnosed that at the time I had a viral infection and the asthma wasn’t been controlled.

So Nurse started me off on steroids plus Antibodies, Spiriva Respimat, DuoResp and Ventolin inhalers. She also put in place an Asthma plan and gave me two telephone numbers in case I need to contact her or her team.

I am 68 years old and now suffer from heart failure and the breathlessness was been put down to that and that alone. Still breathless but it’s early days.

I apologise if I have been a pain. I was very frightened and I’m new to this online communication. So I’m trying to get my head around it lol. Have a lovely happy and healthy day everyone. X

Hi Hidden

Great to hear you have a good asthma nurse and you have a plan in place, I'm sure most people on the forum would agree that is key to helping you get your asthma under control. There's no question too small or big, so do keep adding them to the community, there's a wealth of knowledge with so many people with asthma to support through this.

Take care,

Dita

Aw Mary, I have found this group to be very welcoming and it is so comforting to know that you are not alone! This can be a very scary and isolating illness.

Glad you are feeling better, have a great day 😊

Thank you Maxza. How right you are. I thought I was loosing it. I felt so frightened. I’m glad I found this forum. It’s so reassuring knowing your not alone and not the only one dealing with bad asthma. Keep well and have a lovely weekend. 😊
