I'm under the care of respiratory and they have tried different inhalers but still the same also had ct scans and X-rays but not heard anything about them ? Thanks

Have you had sputum samples done to check what bugs are in your lungs? I'd ask the consultant what the scans are showing as there might be an issue with something like bronchiectasis.

Hi yes had a few done origionally there was a mould from damp plants and grass ?? And the second was an influenza type bug from when I had flu 18 months ago and I've even been told it's because I work with children so who knows chest X-rays are clear and the MRI they are talking to me about on the 4th September ?? Im so fed up with the constant heavy feeling on my chest and back and the taste of the phlegm and having a temperature and cough to the point I wet myself 😢

When I went through similar a couple or so years back, I showed up mould (aspergillosis) as well. The flu type thing is also pretty common in compromised lungs. Obviously I'm not a doctor, but I'd really push them to give you some feedback on what they are finding, as bronchiectasis, SAFS & ABPA ought to be under consideration.

Hi my asthma nurse last week said that she wouldn't be surprised if they tell me on the 4th of September that I have bronchiectasis so I'll have to see what they say then but I'm not sure if to get medication for this one or wait till then so fed up with feeling rubbish, I'm worried if I wait it's gonna make this one worse thanks for your reply

Hi there, I seem to be posting this a lot. But if you have infected mucus hanging in your lungs then it's going to be hard to clear any infection. You can help yourself clear it by using "active Cycle breathing " which helps clear mucus from deep in the lungs. There are some great videos by respiratory physios on you tube. Also drinking lots of water helps thin mucus and aids clearance. If you are diagnosed with Bronchiectasis you should be referred to a respiratory physio who will help with above.
