Good morning everyone hope u all slept well me didn't sleep a wink with chest and now got banging headache taking all my tablets taken and hydrocortisone gone in had magnesium last night about to have a neb now have a good day nice bruises that's just from a blood gas very sore have a good day

Hi thanks need to head banging but the ward I'm on at th moment is just a pit stop till I get one on a normal ward waiting a bed on respirator ward people come and go in here all day it's mad and at night

Good morning Tracey. I'm sorry you have had such a miserable night. Is there any chance of listening to some relaxing music through headphones (to blot out the ward noises) and maybe try to rest and even drop off for a bit?

Had them in most of the night it my body

Y won't relax and now I'm on the hydrocortisone that won't let me sleep x

Impressive bruise (mines only tiddly - inferiority complex 😅😂)!

Hope your body will let you sleep soon (and that your ward doesn't get too busy as to wake you up again! I've had about 4hrs sleep since Wednesday admission - headphones are going on this morning!!!)

Well, that is worthy of the Guiness Book of Records! Those Acute Wards are horrible.Dont know how the nurses manage to work in them and stay so cheerful, on the whole. I hope and pray that a bed comes available quickly on the Respiratory Ward. Propped up in bed, Shoulders down, tummy breathing, close your eyes, think of that nice cool gentle breeze wafting across your face ( no, not galeforce). If outside worries come into mind,imagine your arm sweeping, brushing them away into the bin to deal with another time. Close your eyes, ignore the Beep, Beep,Beep patient crying for bed pan, or nurse. Remember to drink that not so nice hospital water, so that your veins are more visible when the Vampire comes. Now I'm off to Suck Some Eggs. Care to join me?

Tracye, can you get bottled water. USA, we use bottled water a lot, recycle bottles! So important to stay hydrated 😘

Got stay for 9 days on the hydrocortisone instead of going to London trying to get hold of them my son on his way out

Hi chesty this morning peak flow dropped down just seen doc and said on day 2 of the hydro 5 to go then 2 days back on steroids to make sure I don't crash when I back on them had no sleep again had hour if lucky still waiting for the pic line to b done looking like next week now and waiting bed still on respitory ward hope u ok x
