If your asthma is triggered by outdoor pollen --- have you noticed if it's generally worse in the evening than early in the morning? I am a late-night person, and can only make myself exercise in the later afternoon (after the rush hour is over). I wonder if I should try to do exercise early in the morning instead (before the rush hour).
I surely wear an FFP2 mask no matter what, but masks are not 100% efficient (more like 90), and reducing the concentration of the allergens around me would help. Maybe the pollution is also higher in the evening (following the commute/rush hour), whereas early mornings might be better.
Stay well!

I think you could be right - it is higher in the evening that the morning. The reason I say that is the last few nights my Dyson air purifier has been showing yellow in the evenings, yet it is off all night and when I put it on in the morning it’s display is green. Not very scientific, I agree, but there is nothing else to account for it.
i think generally it all depends on the day , seasons, weather conditions , areas. One running along roadside or industrial areas would be more likely to encounter more fumes. During the winter season would be more likely -wood/coal burner fumes in residential areas .
Spring/flowering season more pollen. Summertime hey season more allergens.
