Hi, I've had a home nebuliser for years because that's common in Ireland where I'm from. For me it helps me stay in control and not have to run to A&E every time I can't get under control with inhalers and need nebulising; otherwise I'd be admitted every couple of weeks, unnecessarily, in my opinion.

I saw a fabulous doc in my surgery the other day, hadn't seen her before. She has asthma too, very similar to mine, and was very understanding. She also has a home neb and is quite happy to prescribe nebules for me to keep using mine. At the moment I have a chest infection and my asthma is bad, so I'm averaging 3 rounds of nebuliser daily on top of Ventolin inhaler and steroids, but I'm managing comfortably at home and sleeping in my own bed instead of on a rubber hospital mattress!

Thank you PucaGeorgie you have been so reassuring. Is it Budesonide also? I found it helped at 3 a.m. I must say 😃

Great to know thanks again

Oh, you're getting nebbed Budesonide? I use mine for nebbed Ventolin when I can't inhale deeply enough to get relief from my Ventolin inhalers. I say if it works, don't knock it! :)

Yes twice a day on top of my seretide inhaler!

I have to mix it with saline solution. 15mn hardly seems enough to make it all disappear! Been watching videos to make sure I get it right. 7 day treatment.

Ok I might get myself one this one from the pharmacy is an antique😃😃

Before you invest, make sure your GP will be happy to keep prescribing nebules for you, or it could be an expensive waste of money!

Yes good idea..it was an A&E prescription so I'd better wait and see. 😊
