Hi all,
Is anyone else on on Qvar Belometasone, I'm finding it is making my very shaky, but in speaking with the asthma nurse they seem to reckon its ok?
Just wondered if anyone else found this.
Cheers

hey there,
I was on qvar inhalers for about a year. I found that they gave me the shakes& despite a big dose and didnt do much for the asthma either. I'm now on symbicort (400/12) which also gives me the shakes but weirdly not as much as smaller dose of beclomethasone.
If one preventer doesn't suit you ask to be switched. There are three main groups of preventers:
Becolmethaone
Fluticasone
Budesonide
(sorry about the awful spelling!)
Each of which has several 'brands' within it i.e have you tried 'becotide'? Some suit some people better than others. your asthma nurse/doc can probably give you more advice,
Hope this helps,
