Once more i have a flu/cold that makes me sound like a old steam train. Fed up of going to dr so bored of silly stuff bringing me down. Is this part of lung problems your more likely to pick bugs up or just me???

hello there
My advice, never give in, izzy007. It is too easy to give into depression, especially this time of year. I wont say a lot except you could be getting a lot of good advice today. I think you need to go back to your GP, and also ring the BLF nurse tomorrow. I dont have the number handy but someone will tell you. All the best from Annie80
I agree get back to the doctor, and do ring the blf helpline 03000 030 555 I think it is monday to friday 10 till 6, they will give you sound advice.
polly xx
Try not to breath icy cold or damp air,, cover mouth and nose with a snood so air is not so cold when you breath in,,,also keep chest warm,,we all in the same boat this time of year, keep cosy.......
you not alone ,we don't have any choise just to fight back as far as we can, just don't let it to bit you
Hi Izzy, we all know just how you feel lord knows I do, we all come here have a little moan or whinge. It's not always easy but for me the happy times, the good feelings, and there are lots, are worth being down now and again.
When I look I can usually find a few things to cheer myself up - bet you can too. When you do, come back and tell us, we might be having a bad day. It does feel good when you cheer someone up or put a smile on their face. Give it a go.
Good luck,
Chris
thank you for all your answers xx
Hi izzy, sorry to hear you are feeling rough, I am the same again, it has been constant since xmas, one infection after another, it really does get us all down but we have to try and stay positive, this prolonged cold weather makes things worse, keep taking the tablets as they say, soon be spring 2014(he he) feels like we are missing this year doesn't it, stay warm.xx
Best wishes Ju
Hi Izzy - it isn't just you - my husband only has to see someone sneeze and he gets a cold (slight exagerration!!) but you get the idea. This cold weather is really testing - he can hardly breath when he gets outside. I know it feels like forever and is pretty damn depressing (My husband always gets much more depressed when he is on antibiotics and steroids - it seems an irony that the cure causes more depression!) - but the sun surely will shine soon! Try to stay positive. Take good care of yourself. TAD xx
I'm glad I'm not on my own with this, this winter has been bad for me,with 1bug after another,so sick of it"
yep me too, trying to smile and not go to gp
