medic cards
I was given a blue card to carry at all times as I'm on a steroid inhaler - Seretide 250. I'm also given a blue card to carry each time I take a course of steroids. I think the cards are more to alert for the use of steroids rather than that we have C.O.P.D.
Hope this helps you 3pinks

My COPD is severe, I'm 65 (and also a grandma to two lovely 3year olds ) and I was diagnosed in year 2000. I would like to tell you though that I lead a good life with only a few restrictions due to my breathing.
I'm sorry to hear you've had past problems with a GP but happy that you've now found one who knows what he's doing.
If you are having problems with the Seretide 500 I would suggest that you have a word with your GP and ask if there is an alternative. Or you could call the BLF Helpline where there are nurses who would be more than happy to discuss this with you. Their number is : 03000 030 555 Mon to Friday 10am-6pm. Calls should cost no more than a local call even from a mobile phone.
I hope you manage to sort out the problem
you take care too and
keep on keeping on

If you mean the British Lung Foundation's "Breathe Easy" group then yes, as far as I'm aware, you just turn up and tell them you want to join
thank you.
Hi, I carry the blue steroid card, I also have an A5 printed sheet which has my personal details, consultant, GP, all of my medication and dosage, and also my medical conditions. This means that if I am unable to speak properly medical staff have all of my information available, it has proved invaluable on several occasions. Take care, Richard.
thats a great idea
Where do u get a card from to say u have copd
