Aerosure medic

Does anyone use the Aerosure medic device. I have seen it advertised at a reduced price for a few days only but still quite pricey if it doesn't work.

Hi

Plenty of comments.

healthunlocked.com/search/a...

It’s a two in one device, motorised so less effect required by user.

Thanks for that. I will have a look and make my mind up

Hi Ray47. I have bronchiectasis and have had an aerosure medic for several years. I don’t have to use it very often because it is usually easy for me to get my mucus up. On the occasions when it becomes really difficult it is the only device which helps me. I have tried all variations and the flute device. It is a very personal thing because everybody finds something that suits them.

Thanks. I don't want to spend £150 for something that I won't use so I will have to make a decision as the offer is only on for 3 days

I bought mine direct from the website. Have a look there before you go for other peopl’s prices and don’t forget you can have the vat deducted.

There has been a lot of discussion about it, some have tried it and a few have found it helpful whilst others have not but, in my opinion, the price is exorbitant for what it is.

Thanks. Just been reading up on it and it seems to help some people but as you say it is very expensive for what it is

I think you are right. The only trouble is that it could be an expensive mistake.

I use a flutter device, mine was free as it was prescribed by GP a few years ago - seems to do the same thing as aerosure for mucus clearance, at a much cheaper cost.

Hi ray47, I’ve only had mine for a few days so not sure yet if it will make a difference to my breathing but decided to buy it as it’s supposed to help strengthen weakened respiratory muscles which I have rather than mucus problems. Im using it 3 times a day at the moment - 5 min each time - I know I,ll never come off the oxy but if it helps prevent the breathlessness getting worse it will be worth the expense.

Thanks for replying. I am also on oxygen, have been for many years. I think I will probably purchase one and see if it helps. Ray
