Sorry to hear that Kazza,it must be a bit of a scary feeling.I realy feel you need to see your Doctor,I cant give you any answers, but I do know that sometimes that could pertain to your heart.Dont kow if you have any problems that way,or not.So I dont want to worry you,but you definetely need to get it checked out.Good luck, and let us know how you go.It could only be severe indigestion, but no guessing, make that appoinment!!

Hi Kazza

That sounds so scary. I'm not a doctor but it sounds like when I used to suffer anxiety attacks before I was diagnosed. Hope you get some help and answers from your GP - whcih is where you should be going.

i to have very bad emphyzema, if i do fell like that sit up a little and calm your self down and wait you will get tierd again, your lungs are long so when you sit up againt the head board it gives your lungs a chance to fill up right. well it works for me.

Hi, I am a carer for my husband who has COPD, but I am so stressed out as I am at his beck and call all the time, and sometimes in the night have to get up and go and make a drink as I feel as if someone is also sitting on my chest, once I get up and have a drink it settles down and I feel okay, I went to the doctors and they said it was stress and to deep breathe slowly.

My husband also suffers with it, but he calls for me as he can't deep breathe so I massage his back until he calms down and then he is okay.
