Hi All,

Thanks for your comments and advice. I've changed my medication around and now take my Symbicort before I get out of bed, wait as long as I can, then get out and head for the loo. Then about an hour later I take my Spiriva.

I have been taking Spiriva every evening at 11pm for nearly 18 months,(no body told me any different) but haveing spoken to BLF i find I should be taking it in the morning.

...So far So good.

Only been a member here for 2 days, and I've learnt more about COPD here than the doctors have told me in 6 years. An example, I have an appointment with the COPD clinic at my local sugery on Monday, untill I got that appointment I didn't know they had a COPD clinic. I'll be going with a big list of questions.

Thanks again to everyone for your valued help and support.

Bri'

So glad you're feeling good. That's what this site is all about Caring, Sharing and Support. I myself have learnt so much since I joined a few months back, not just about my conditions but also the little things that sometimes go hand in hand with them but aren't mentioned by the doctors/consultants or nurses that have dealt with me like yourself and others here for many years. I have a regime taking my medication starting at 6am and always take my Spiriva at 8am and so on throughout the day:-( One thing I myself did was go to armed with a list of questions for my Asthma/COPD nurse, most are willing to answer if you ask.

Take care

So glad that the comments, and helpline helped. The more you know, the better you can manage COPD. My nurse thinks i am very clued up haha, I sing the praises of BLF blogs. But I think its sad that people without internet are left without the knowledge of their desease and apart from rehab, get no real help to manage the condition. Take care, remember to have a list of questions when you go to the clinic.

best wishes Ingrid.

I've been pretty lucky with my GP but am appalled by how some on here have been treated. This is a great place for information, as is the BLF. So glad I've paid my membership fee and joined them. Their regular magazine is very informative.
