The one you spray on your lids? How does it work?

I have suffered the same problem with steroids, dry eye's. The doctor prescribed me lubricating eye drops which were fantastic, so calming and soothing, i'm sorry i cant remember the name of them but i suggest you go see your GP.

I have suffered from dry eyes for many years but steroids do make it worse, I wake in the night finding myself rubbing my eyes which makes them very sore. There are many different drops and gels out there it is just a matter of finding one that suits you.

Just to ease it a little try 2 slices of cucumber straight out of the fridge, lie on the sofa and put them on your eyes, it is soooo good. I have also tried used tea bags kept in the fridge.

Hope you get some relief soon.

I saw a specialist about my dry eyes and they feared I had sarcoidosis in my eyes. I didn't buy her advice to me re dry eyes is to use one of 2 things, the must you spray on your closed eyes or to run a flannel under very hot water and place this over your closed eyes in the morning and evening. She said those little bags of grain you heat up in the microwave were also very good - I don't have a microwave so I use a flannel. Been much better.

I meant to say I didn't but her advice...not that I didn't buy her advice!

Hi jandan, I have this problem too so I use drops for dry eyes, bought from the chemist they are only around £3 they work very well. If you have allergies as I have, always bathe your eyes in the morning and at night if necessary to wash away any dust mites on eye lashes. I was told to use Baby shampoo in hot water and cotton buds, I thought this was odd at the time and didnt like the idea of shampoo near my eyes (shades of childhood and bathtime, I think) but it really works. Good luck Maximonkey

Thanks everyone I have bought some eye drops so will be giving them a try. I had a wry smile about the 't'bags and cucumber I remember my father using these when I was young he was a martyr to hay fever if he suffered we all suffered - I am sure we all know the type!

Will let you know how I go Cheers

Janet
