Good morning everyone, looked out of the window this morning and it looks glorious here in the West Midlands. The sun is shining but unfortunately the wind is blowing and there is a little bit of frost on the cars. The lady walking her dog has a big winter coat on a woolly hat and big scarf so I think that is a warning for me to stay indoors today and admire the sunshire from here in the warm.
Hope everyone else is feeling a bit better today and keeping warm.

Hi polly
Oh how I agree, it looks lovely here in the south as well.. There is enough blue sky as my dad used to say "to make a sailors collar" meaning a good day,
But it is cold, just let the dog out she wanted to play ball,, she drops it on my lap just inside the patio door,, she only got a couple of throws this morning my hands got too cold plus I was letting all the heat out.
It does feel better with the sun shine after a very dark and gloomy week.
Info from a BBC weather forecaster says that we have a couple of days of this cold snap, which could bring snow to some areas, but it will change again on Sunday with cloud, bringing warmer air to clear any flurries that may have settled.
The week ahead will only be a touch warmer, and rain expected again by Wednesday. At least that's here in Doncaster. We're currently sunny, clear skies, 4C/37F with the barometer showing 1020mb, rising
Looking at Fylingdales, on the N Yorks Moors, near where my sister in law lives, they have snow already but don't expect it to stick very long, despite a sharp northerly wind keeping the air chilly.
