Just had a visit in hospital from one of the above nurses, very nice lady who will visit me at home next week, she will sort out DLA to get it increased also to talk about symtom control. Another point of contact really just to let you know they deal with people who have COPD and can offer advice etc Val x

Won't be returning to work the consultant said no it's not advisable, but was getting DLA - mobility - lower rate of care she is applying for higher rate care for me, keep your fingers crossed x

Thats good Val. Yes I just discovered that they deal with copd when I was offered a place at their day care. I didnt take the place, I was horrified thinking that I was on my last legs. I now understand that its not the case. Yes Val another point of contact is good, and getting DLA sorted for you is even better. Get well soon Val xx

Yea seems like a good idea support for Graham and Leanne as well x

Hi Val

You are really lucky to have a Macmillan nurse to visit you at home etc. - as we are all aware community support services for people with a lung condition can be a bit patchy. So it's good that in your area the Macmillan team are particularly "inclusive".

Regards

Mark

Yes was a bit unsure at first but it's another form of contact if we need it, need to try and stay at home rather being admitted to hospital Thanks Val

Hi Val, slightly off topic but you aren't in Hexham are you? I was there for a minor op and thought it was a lovely hospital.
