Holidays - does anyone have a solution to being kept awake by the noise of the concentrator when staying in a hotel room?

Hi Serenity

When going on holiday I ask my g.p. for a few maybe 5 tranquilisers (one a day) to help with sleeping in different bed, sleeping on plane on a long haul, jet lag and climate change, maybe its all in the mind but it does help me to cope and even enjoy going different places after a good night's sleep.

Wouldn't putting it in the bathroom on a towel help.

I take my freestyle - much quieter.

Before I bought one I rented. Some companies can be quite reasonable. Then I used my DLA to buy. However, I have since heard that there are some charitable organisations which will supply grants. May be worth checking out?

Hi,

I take an extension lead and put the concentrator in the bathroom and close the door, and use a long tube from my own Eclipse Machine which delivers constant flow, do not have to suffer any noise this way!

Best Regards

Hi Halsa. Thank you for taking the trouble to answer. My concern is usinmg an extension lead - which I was exprewssly told not to do - I wasn't given a reason.

I take it you have found no trouble using an extension cable

To everyone who came up with thoughts about my question - thank you for taking the trouble to reply - I'm not sure about the suggestion to use an extension cable because all the manufacturers say don't do it - does anyone have any advice about that - but I was interested about the comment about the Freestyle - anyone with any experience of sleeping with one?

This blog is so full of expereience & wisdom you couldn'y buy anywhere.
