i have this problem too !
when i get a chest infection i also get hip pain so my doctor has prescribed me painkillers which harden stools - don't always work but does make life easier.

It's this sort of thing that needs to be sorted out by a committee - see if they will pass a motion...
Does that mean when you tackle a wrongdoer to the ground Krazylady you can knock them out with your stools?
Amoxycilin (sp?) has this effect on me too and it makes me nauseous. Thankfully, I don't have to take it too often *sighs with relief*

Yes - just double checked with our nurse Muriel - antibiotics can affect bowel movements - Diarrhoea etc.

From personal experience, don't take anti-biotics with orange juice...
To counteract the effects of antibiotics, which are killing off the good bacteria in your gut as well as the bad in your lungs,and are causing the upset. I have one Actimel a day which replaces the good bacteria on the advice of my respitary nurse.
So agree with Caroleoctober. I always take probiotics when on a course of antbiotics, obviously not at the same time. It would depend on how severe the old runs are of course - you may want to see your GP if it's very bad.
