Has any one heard of a herbal product from New Zealand, HYSMETON? It states that it can cure COPD. Is it a scam? Any infornation would be welcome, please.

False - no cure for COPD - if there was it would be widely available. So don't bother doing any internet searches to find out more.

It's very hard to believe when the manufacturer/retailer puts this at the bottom of the page

they have to say this disclaimer - it's getting harder and harder for producers of herbals etc as the big pharmas win out against these age-old competitors. We are still rediscovering ancient health-promoting plants in the rainforest and lots are also being lost as well. Why when folk take aspirin do they not believe in the recuperative powers of natural things - aspirin being a natural painkiller of course. Try to keep an open mind .... else penicillin would not have been found !
Reminds me of the 'Oralmat' con. Same disclaimers there too.
Oralmat tells you the ingredient - whereas this is sparse on any detail.
Scam or not I do not know but I suggest you stick with your GPs advice.Do not waste your money. Trot along to your local Breathe Easy group,it will not cure you but it will fill you with good information and lots orf friendship to help keep you going.Details from BLF.Richard
