monitering my breathing

Mine are 200 normally but for the last two weeks they have been around the 250 mark, which to me, is a good improvement. How I'd love to do 350 to 450 though !!
Hi Andy , You are very welcome to the group , i have only been on this site a short time but there are some very kind and knowledgeable people on here xx. My peak flow once reached 350 about 22 years ago when i had been in a private hospital for 6 weeks , happy days . At the last hospital visit they were 120 and before that 150 but i was quite bad last time i went so not surprised about the bad reading . I was told once that 400 to 600 is normal but i expect that would depend on your fitness . If they are happy with you at the clinic i shouldn't dwell too much on the readings , as long as they are fairly stable xx . I don't keep a regular check anymore as i don't have a pf meter now , mine broke and i would have to pay for a new one . keep blowing xx
I have peaked 350 and according to my consultant this is good.
I'd be interested to here from anyone elseto hear their best
My best is only 150 as i have severe copd.
Hi newbies...my nurse takes my peak flow on every review,to see how my lungs are doing.the last peak flow was below 100,which is bad,but I do have severe emphysema.
I'm still waiting for pr,it's been 3 months since I was referred,roll on,please..
Take care,x
It would seem a lottery how and when you are measured newbies if care works why worry eh
Hi Gordon , I got my peak flow meter from my GP in UK but i now live in Ireland and you have to pay , resp nurse says they are not essential but i might buy one as i like to keep a check on stability .xx.
