I’ve been taking Montelukast for about 12 years when I started with an almost continuous cough. It stopped the coughing at night. My ankles and legs aren’t swollen. I don’t have CKD.

It’s stopped my coughing at night which is great but still coughing and wheezy in day, hoping I will be ok the more I take

Hubby Pete has taken Montelukast for some years and no ankle or legs swelling as such but he does have CKD. No idea what stage.

I never found Montelukast any use, I had asthma before COPD and it was tried twice. Nothing. I have CKD Stage 3 alternated at times with CKD stage 3B - no swelling for me either - There are 5 stages of COPD - I have had this for quite a number of years. x

My Dr insists my asthma has got worse I think it’s the acid refluxthat has made it so would like to see a respiratory specialist but he just ignores me ,I feel if I change Dr he might be just as bad.

I have no confidence in GPs anymore I am in the Uk

I have had Acid Rexul for years, it has caused a bleed and pain, never affected my breathing.

My GP is fine, a village practice, miles better than town.

Mind you if you don't mind me askin Hope you get sorted.g, would it not be better to be referred to rules out -ot not, worstening Asthma.
