Those of you who suffer COP, and infection , how do you manage with antibiotics? As COP is resistant to most,
I would like to know if any work
My last antibiotic was IV due to this. Thank you

My father has COP, fortunately infection free for some time, has 10mg prednisone daily and doxycycline rescue abx. He had IV starting with M last time and oral doxy. Allergic penicillins. He’s bedbound now so quite isolated from all the resp infections adding to the problem. I wish you well. Take care 🦊x
Cryptogenic organising pneumonia is notable in not responding even to front line antibiotics, that's one of the differentiators with community acquired pneumonia (CAP). The others are 'Velcro' crackles and lung sounds in a different location to CAP, The usual oral treatment is prednisolone. The problem with prednisolone is weaning yourself off of it; it took me 12 months.
I was hospitalised with PCP, I'm not sure if it is the same but I was given co- trimoxazole
Thanks for replies, all are similar. We would all love to have a few healthy weeks wouldn't we.
