Pannage season has started ....pigs are munching acorns
Oh so cute. Wonderful image. We have just had more sheep arrive in a field near where we live. These sights always raise my spirits. xx
Lovely animals, Iβm a pig fan. Xxxβ€οΈππ©·π
I love seeing them out and about π
toooo cute. Thank you for sharing π¦x
Thankyou β€οΈ
what lovely little piglets. one looks as if he had drunk too much . , greedy little pig
They are a bit dopey as they are new born but very sassy π
what an amazing sight to see π
They are beautiful π
They really are. Do they walk around freely like the ponies ?
Yes only from September till end of November they eat the acorns than can be toxic to livestock π
They are gorgeous. Hope they find lots of pannage to keep them fat. xxx
They love the acorns π
Thatβs lovely. We really enjoyed seeing them foraging for themselves. Thanks for sharing. β€οΈ
I enjoy seeing them but they are noisy π
The elusive pigs I never found them x
They're are a few hundred local to me π
Do they just roam wild? Quite beautiful ππ
They do during autumn then they head home π‘
They look adorable when they're little piglets, but boy, can the big ones tear up a lawn! Our property is hit by the herd once or twice every couple years and they leave it looking like a rototiller went through! Great shot of the piggies!
These are left to run the forest and eat the acorns that are toxic to the livestock π
Aww how lovely to see them roaming freely instead of in an intensive farm and great that the livestock can then graze safelyπ. Beautiful photo Blackbird xxx
Thanks so much Nula they do go home after pannage season π
It must be difficult to round them all up. Guess the babies will follow their mums but do the mums go happily back? Expect they are kept in barns and not chained up unable to move as I've seen in the past (very sad sight that wasπ)xxx
They are kept in fields on their owners land when at home and they have pigstys to sleep in .... Mum's go home on direction from the owners and the piglets just naturally follow π
Ah that's lovely. π I know they will end up as food for humans but they are given the best life possible meantime. πβ€οΈ xxx
